Step into a rewarding contract opportunity tailored for experienced Occupational Therapists specializing in school-based services. This role focuses on providing impactful support to students, working closely with educators and families to help each child achieve their full potential.
In this position, you'll dedicate one day per weekor opt for every other weekto support a group of 16 students. Primary responsibilities involve conducting thorough evaluations and delivering targeted OT interventions. Youll collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring students unique needs are met throughout the school year.
KeyQualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings
- Proficient in student evaluations and generating comprehensive reports
- Familiarity with OT interventions for diverse student populations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to an evolving caseload and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct detailed OT assessments for assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, focusing on functional and academic success
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services, meeting mandated IEP goals
- Maintain accurate progress notes and timely documentation
- Work collaboratively with school staff and families to optimize student outcomes
