Support Engineer
A dynamic, forward‑thinking organization is seeking a highly motivated Technical Professional to join our team as a Support Engineer. The role is based in Monroe, LA and involves handling complex customer issues, both remotely and on site.
Position OverviewThe Support Engineer will handle escalations from Support Technicians, resolve advanced technical problems, and ensure optimal performance of client systems. The position requires collaboration with a diverse team and continuous improvement of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough research and identify effective solutions to software and hardware issues.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced technical problems, including firewalls, switches, servers, Azure, network configuration, application support, Active Directory, and more.
- Engage with customers to probe and uncover root causes, guiding them through complex troubleshooting steps.
- Accurately log and track all issues in the system.
- Prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
- Follow up with clients to verify that IT systems are fully functional post‑resolution.
- 3‑5 years of proven experience in Helpdesk/Desktop Support, preferably within an MSP environment.
- Advanced technical troubleshooting expertise across various IT environments.
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with end‑users via phone, remote sessions, and in‑person meetings.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE (Microsoft 365 & Azure), Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or VMware VCP highly preferred.
- Physical ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 25 pounds periodically.
- Travel up to 50% within the Monroe territory.
