Description
Our TEKsystems client in Monroe is looking for Tier I Desktop Support resources to join their team on a 6‑month contract (with possible extension up to 12 months). The role involves providing customer‑facing support for hardware and software issues, installing, upgrading and configuring laptops, desktops, thin clients, WOWs, mobile devices and printers.
ResponsibilitiesThe Desktop Tech team handles Tier I support tickets escalated from the Helpdesk. The primary duties include:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Installing and upgrading operating systems, applications and drivers
- Configuring and deploying thin clients, WOW stations, mobile devices and iPhones
- Building laptops and desktops following centralized processes
- Performing new asset requests and upgrades
- Using Service Now for ticket management and Active Directory for device lookup and OU association
- Providing high‑quality customer service and documentation
Minimum 2 years of IT experience (or 1 year if holding an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree). Must have familiarity with:
- Hardware troubleshooting and assembly
- Active Directory and Service Now ticketing system
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
- Office 365, Outlook and Microsoft Office suite
- Printer and mobile device support
Strong communication, documentation skills and the ability to work in fast‑paced environments, including occasional patient or operating‑room visits, are required.
