Acquires new business and sustains renewal business through prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and sales; service and sales standards must be met with emphasis on integrity, robust relationship development, and superior management of the client’s insurance needs by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.- Assists in development of sales objectives, forecasting premium volume and commission growth.
- Creates and maintains prospects in the agency’s management system database.
- Pre-qualifies prospects for insurability and quality of risk.
- Identifies client’s insurance needs, gaps in coverage, and loss exposures (insurable & un-insurable).
- Obtains accurate information from prospects, including completed applications, supplemental questionnaires, risk surveys, and other related documentation for complete, comprehensive submissions.
- Assists Marketing Coordinator/CSR in acquiring complete, appropriate documents as required by underwriters in consideration of coverage requirements.
- Promotes and supports cooperative, enthusiastic, and productive relationships with service team (Account Executive/CSR’s).
- Meets agency standard for accounts receivables.
- Reviews client expiration reports for upcoming renewals and responds as required for risks and market conditions.
- Accurately documents client files as to coverage discussions, quotes, declinations, or coverage changes.
- Rounds out accounts through cross-selling of identifiable risks.
- Monitors, interacts with Claims CSR, and intercedes when necessary on customer claims issues.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years experience with multi-line insurance products.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsProperty & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance license required.
Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit.
- The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
