Position: Supply Coordinator 2

The Supply Coordinator 2 manages the procurement, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies within the hospital to ensure seamless operations and patient care. The coordinator also helps troubleshoot supply chain issues and supports process improvements for efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Control / Materials Management
    • Implements inventory strategies to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations.
    • Analyzes historical usage and other key performance data to optimize inventory levels.
    • Works closely with Clinical Leadership to adjust par inventory levels and communicates with Buyers to ensure timely delivery of products.
    • Identifies changes in supply usage and initiates stock level changes; ensures accurate labeling and updates all system changes to local item master files.
    • Addresses product conversions to ensure depletion of current products and onboarding of new products.
    • Demonstrates a complete understanding of software procedures; ensures proper practices are followed for decrementing inventory.
    • Collaborates with Resource Utilization to identify suitable product substitutions to avoid stock outages and addresses manufacturer recalls promptly.
    • Schedules and oversees quarterly cycle counts and annual/bi-annual physical inventory.
  • Leadership
    • Exemplifies ownership of inventory management and related issues.
    • Builds trust relationships with customers and coworkers, recognizing the value of diversity and remaining open to new viewpoints, ideas and talents.
    • Serves as a change agent, identifying and acting on process improvement opportunities and ensuring Joint Commission preparedness related to inventory management and storage at all times.
  • Customer Service
    • Demonstrates commitment to superior customer satisfaction through quality of work, attention to detail, communication, problem solving, initiative, flexibility, adaptability and attitude.
    • Responds to customer issues and/or concerns promptly.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    • Executes project tasks.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required Experience:

    Minimum of 4 years of related experience in supply management, purchasing, inventory control, materials management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with vendors, purchase orders, inventory systems, and supply chain processes preferred.
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of related supply management experience;
    or
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
