As a Store Manager, you and the team you lead will be the first face of the brand for growing families. You will greet new parents and grandparents, introduce them to our baby essentials, help them prepare for the first day of school, and support every big and little moment along their parenting journey. You will coach your team to reach their potential, become brand and product experts, and own their careers.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Build a talent pipeline through networking and recruiting; develop succession plans by training and developing your team.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment that increases employee engagement.
- Grow leaders through direction, delegation, and investment in their development.
- Create a genuine customer focus on the sales floor by leading and directing the Leader on Duty program.
- Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
- Build customer loyalty by coaching the team on the benefits of customer participation in our Loyalty programs.
- Execute the company's direction on merchandising and operations; manage payroll and budgets.
- Understand and analyze KPIs and identify behaviors to drive results.
- Seamlessly lead and integrate an omnichannel experience, ensuring teams are trained on the tools available.
- Reduce loss through consistent customer service, education, and operational controls.
- A positive and solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, inclusive of directing and executing multiple tasks at once.
- Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, web navigation, etc.).
- Minimum of 3 years of retail or related management experience leading direct reports.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Stand or walk for extended periods; climb up and down a ladder.
- Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with a minimum of two closing shifts a week.
