Supervisor Patient Access - Cardiology Clinic

Overview

The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for guiding Patient Access Representatives, expediting patient flow, and coordinating the registration of all patients. Also supervises scheduling of patient procedures and assists with related process workflows. As a working supervisor, the Supervisor Patient Access works directly with staff, patients, and their families in the admission and/or payment collection process. Provides communication with other departments to expedite the admission process.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish responsibilities, while creativity is expected to perform the job, and leads and directs the work of others.

• Guide Patient Access Representatives in daily operations and ensure efficient patient flow.
• Coordinate and oversee the registration of all patients.
• Supervise scheduling of patient procedures and assist with related process workflows.
• Work as a working supervisor, interacting directly with staff, patients, and families in admission and/or payment collection processes.
• Communicate with other departments to expedite the admission process.
• Apply extensive experience and judgment to perform responsibilities; contribute creatively to process improvement.
• Lead and direct the work of others in the Patient Access team.
