Position: Warehouse Shipping (Full-time) #3002

Warehouse Shipping Associate

The associate will receive and process customer orders for shipping from the pulling department. They will verify the accuracy of orders and ensure they meet quality standards. The receiver prepares items for shipping, labels packages, inspects products for damage, and ensures all items in an order are included.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive and process customer orders for shipping from the pulling department.
  • Verify accuracy of orders and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Prepare items for shipping by packaging them securely.
  • Label packages with appropriate shipping information.
  • Inspect products for damage or defects before shipment.
  • Report all known issues pertaining to the receipt of product intended to ship.
  • Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documents.
  • Ensure all shipping documents are accurate and complete.
  • Operate shipping equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two‑ and three‑syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Employees are required to wear safety appropriate clothing in the warehouse, including close‑toed shoes. Employees are not permitted to use earbuds or any other devices which interfere with their ability to hear.
