Responsibilities
- Safely pack a quality, productive product.
- Follow and support all company safety, GMP, and ISO policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies.
- Perform required quality checks and understand quality standards.
- Ensure correct boxes, labels, and product quantities are used.
- Report defective product to the Section Lead.
- Maintain good housekeeping and read “Traveler” – Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Check special instructions and pass electric pallet jack certification.
- Work on lines LD 98 & 9, AG Line & Fume Line, and other specified lines.
- Setup tapers, change tape rolls, troubleshoot box erectors, and set up label applicators.
- Operate bin lifts and bin gates safely.
- Understand pallet stacking formations for all orders.
- Safely pull plastic, pick up scrap, and assist downstream equipment.
- Handle hand taper and replace tape rolls.
- Perform manual box making, operate winders, and use a J‑Knife to cut and tuck product.
- High School diploma or GED (preferred).
- Experience in a teamwork‑oriented environment (plus).
- Working knowledge of extrusion/converting equipment and processes (desired).
- Ability to use and read a ruler.
- Ability to read and understand a traveler.
- Ability to document quality and weight on bag check sheets.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and checklists.
- Mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning skills – solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
- Basic PC knowledge.

Physical DemandsMust work around moving machinery/electricity, forklifts, and use PPE. May lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and push or pull up to 100 pounds. May reach, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, or twist up to 66% of the work shift.
Work EnvironmentManufacturing operations with loud noise levels. Requires steel‑toed shoes, hearing and eye protection, and potentially other PPE when working around moving machinery. Typical priorities, time pressures, and stress levels are present.
