Job Description Production & Maintenance Manager Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Production & Maintenance Manager to lead daily operations within a food manufacturing environment focused on baked goods production. This role is responsible for production performance, equipment reliability, food safety, continuous improvement, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a floor‑focused leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves, troubleshoot issues, and drive results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead production and maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Execute production schedules while maximizing productivity, quality, and uptime.
  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, waste reduction, and operational performance.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and facility improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics including throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production and maintenance teams while fostering a positive, accountable culture.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing; baking or dough production experience required
  • Experience managing both production and maintenance functions.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands‑on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, PLCs, and automated equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field . Equivalent experience will be considered.
