About the Role:

OCM is looking for a skilled Packaging Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in Monroe, LA! In this hands-on role, you’ll keep our packaging lines running smoothly and efficiently, playing a vital part in delivering quality products to customers around the world. If you're mechanically minded and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain packaging machinery and equipment on the production floor
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on packaging lines
  • Conduct equipment changeovers and line adjustments to meet production schedules
  • Monitor packaging line operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality standards
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance logs
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a packaging mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Experience with packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, or conveyors preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training a plus
