Position OverviewThe Education and Social Impact Associate is a key member of the Community Impact Team, supporting initiatives that advance learning, leadership, and life outcomes across our region. This individual plays an essential role in coordinating community programs, supporting public engagement, and strengthening communication and collaboration across departments and partners.
This is a part-time, detail-focused role ideal for someone with strong organizational and interpersonal skills who is passionate about serving others and making a difference.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily administrative and programmatic support to the Community Impact Team.
- Coordinate logistics for community-facing events, initiatives, and meetings.
- Assist with scheduling, email communication, and materials preparation for programs and campaigns.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical records for ongoing initiatives.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with external partners and internal teams.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and provide support to other departments as needed.
- Support outreach, engagement, and education-related initiatives designed to address local needs.
- Deliver excellent customer service to community members and partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in education, nonprofit management, social sciences, or related field preferred.

- 2-5 years of administrative or program coordination experience in a professional setting.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for community improvement and alignment with United Way's mission.
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required.
This position requires regular use of a computer and telephone, sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), and participation in off-site community events. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
