Position Summary
The SOC Operator is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are impactful or potentially impactful to business, the brand and/or employees. The role includes monitoring cameras and alarms, dispatching calls via telephone and radio, operating access control technology, and providing general assistance to employees and guests. SOC operators support the field team in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from crisis and non‑crisis incidents.
Compensation & Schedule
• 1st/2nd Shift • $22.66/hr
• Weekend schedule availability required
Qualifications
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or customer service fields.
• State training and licensing assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
• Valid, non‑expired security license/Guard Card preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer routine and emergency calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment (fire alarms, door alarms, duress alarms) and providing general assistance to employees and guests.
- Maintain records of communications and events.
- Use multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information and intelligence.
- Escalate complaints and unusual/critical event information to the Supervisor without delay.
- Accurately maintain control of all equipment and keys in the SOC, logging sign‑outs and returns.
- Report any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or systems to the Supervisor promptly.
- Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs.
- Respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms; control and monitor two‑way communication systems.
