1)
Overview We are looking for a Cable Technician I who is eager to learn and grow within the structured cabling and low-voltage industry. This role supports installation crews and assists with cable pulling, terminations, labeling, and basic troubleshooting under the direction of senior technicians.
- Pull, route, and secure CAT5/CAT6 and low-voltage cabling.
- Assist with terminating copper cabling under supervision.
- Help install ladder racks, J-hooks, cable trays, and cable support systems.
- Label cables, pathways, and equipment per project standards.
- Assist Level 2 and Lead Technicians with closet buildouts and device installs.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Follow all company safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of structured cabling systems preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment a plus.
- Willingness to learn cable termination, fiber handling, and rack installation.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to pull cable, work from ladders, and maneuver in ceilings and tight spaces.
- Lift 50 lbs and assist in moving materials up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to differentiate cable colors and read basic labels.
- Regular attendance and ability to travel locally.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
