Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a Resident
Service Mechanic in the field. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956.
Resident Service Mechanics function as part of the Service Team and are responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment within a designated territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
- Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
- Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.

- minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
- possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
- minimum 21 years of age
- clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- above average communication skills
- ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
- ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
This position is deemed a Safety Sensitive job for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the Louisiana Therapeutic Marijuana Act.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSThis position:
- will be working in operating facilities and outdoors, traveling to customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.
- will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazards where appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
- must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
- requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis.
- requires driving a van/truck to and from customer locations
- must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
- must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
