Commercial HVAC Service Technician

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician performs preventive maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and service of commercial HVAC systems and DDC/building controls.

• Perform preventive maintenance, service, repair, and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and controls-related issues.
• Troubleshoot DDC and building automation controls.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned service vehicle.
• Follow company safety and job-site requirements.
• Travel throughout the company's service area as needed.

• General knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and DDC controls.
• Associate's degree or equivalent Technical/Trade School education with HVAC training or certification.
• Commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record .
• Must comply with the company's zero-tolerance drug policy .

Full-time with 40 hours guaranteed each week
Bi-weekly pay and overtime as needed
Performance-based incentive plan
Competitive pay based on experience

10 days of paid vacation each year, in addition to earned PTO
Vacation may be carried forward in accordance with company policy

Earn 4 hours of PTO per month following the applicable 90-day waiting period
PTO may be used for illness, personal time, appointments, and personal or family emergencies
Earned PTO may be carried over in accordance with company policy

Coverage is available beginning the first day of the month following 30 days of employment .

Mechanical Concepts pays 50% of the medical insurance premium for employee or family coverage
Dental and vision insurance available

401(k) eligibility after 6 months of employment
Company matches 100% of the first 3% contributed, plus 50% of the next 2%
Optional company profit-sharing contribution; historically funded each year since the plan was established
