The Receptionist is expected to represent the company in a positive manner while greeting visitors, answering telephones and directing calls. This employee also provides clerical support to staff as needed.

The essential functions of this position include the following. This list is not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive. There may be additional essential functions based on the unique nature of the position or environment.
- Answer incoming and direct incoming calls.
- Greet and direct visitors and family members.
- Maintain current patient listing to be able to direct visitors and phone calls.
- Directs walk-in applicants to electronic application process
- Organize work to be addressed by receptionist on other shifts.
- Ensures vendors and visitors sign in and out.
- Ensuring residents sign in and out of the facility as required per policy.
- Provide clerical support for the Administrator and other staff, as directed.
- Adhere to confidentiality requirements.
- Announce emergency codes and instructions over public address system as required.
- Enters demographic information into the Electronic Medical Record, as directed by the Administrator.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
- Know of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility.
- Demonstrate respect for co-workers and respond to needs of residents by complying with facility policies.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
- Ability to carry out the essential functions of this job (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Assure participation in relevant in-service training sessions.
- Attend and participate in facility meetings, as assigned.
- Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or
Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Typing proficiency of 50-60 words per minute.
- None
Minimum Qualifications :
- Computer skills are required.
- Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.
