About the OpportunityOur Client is seeking motivated and safety-focused Safety & Health Specialists to support construction and project management operations across multiple worksites. This position plays a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events and assist with root cause analysis.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs.
- Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk assessments.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response efforts.
- Partner with project teams and supervisors to strengthen safety awareness and accountability.
- Maintain accurate records related to inspections, training, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Facilitate safety meetings and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives as needed.
- Assist in overseeing safety activities at various construction project locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in workplace safety, EHS, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA 30-Hour Certification, or similar credentials.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and compliance reporting.
- Ability to walk construction sites, industrial facilities, and production environments for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to travel occasional between project sites as needed.
