Service Associate; Teller

Overview

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Service Associate (Teller) to join our team. This position focuses on providing high quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and suggesting products and services to meet current and future financial needs. We support you to exceed personal production goals while delivering a meaningful customer experience.

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer requests for banking transactions and inquiries, and offering solutions that meet the customer’s current needs.
• Build customer loyalty and advocates.
• Contribute to overall banking center operation by balancing cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM; ensuring compliance, regulations and reporting; following information security policy and verification procedures to protect customer privacy; and assisting with opening and/or closing the banking center.
• Participate in a high performing sales environment by selling bank products, making customer referrals, and other activities to support goals; knowing all bank products; participating in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.
