Special Education Teacher Opportunities
Tact Staff EDU is actively hiring Special Education Teachers for multiple openings throughout Southern Michigan for the school year. We are partnering with several districts and center-based programs seeking passionate educators who are committed to helping students reach their full potential in supportive and collaborative learning environments.
We have opportunities available across a variety of special education settings, including center-based programs and specialized classrooms serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and communication needs.
Cognitive Impairment (CI) Programs- Center-based classroom settings
- Support students with mild to severe cognitive impairments
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Develop and implement individualized educational programming aligned with IEP goals
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Implement behavior support strategies and individualized interventions
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success and positive outcomes
- Serve students with autism across a variety of educational settings
- Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
- Foster communication, social skills, independence, and academic growth
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain compliant documentation and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Partner with families, administrators, and support staff to ensure student success
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
- Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement or ability to obtain for center-based CI openings
- Emotional Impairment (EI) endorsement preferred for EI classrooms
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) experience and/or endorsement preferred for autism-specific programs
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Competitive compensation of $50-$55 per hour on a W2
- Weekly pay
