We are looking for a compassionate OT to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can‑do attitude, a friendly demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide medical support to our clients in their homes.
Qualifications- Occupational Therapy License (Required)
- Possesses a degree from a program in Occupational therapy approved by an accredited organization.
- Licensed to practice as an Occupational therapist within the state.
- Two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational therapist. Community/home health experience.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Provides Occupational therapy services to patients according to a written physician’s plan of care, including assessing and evaluating therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status and participating in the development of the total plan of care. Evaluates home environment.
- Assesses muscle strength, mobility, ROM, and potential for rehab.
- Directs Occupational therapy treatment.
- Instructs patients and families/caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances.
- Determines priority needs for Occupational therapy.
- Reports to physician the patient’s reaction to treatment or changes in condition.
- Initiates Occupational therapy program and instructs other personnel and/or family/caregiver members in certain phases of therapy, as well as the program’s goals, by participating in case conferences.
- May train patients in the use of prosthetic devices.
- Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other home health services and refers as necessary.
- Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment of goals.
- Participates in discharge planning for patients.
- Provides Occupational therapy consultation to home families/caregivers when indicated.
- Provides in‑service education programs for nursing organization personnel as needed.
- Participates in the peer consultation process.
- Supervises Occupational therapy assistants in accordance with organization policy and state regulations.
Part‑time
Pay$60.00 - $70.00 per Visit
Medical Specialty- Home Health
