Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; COTA) in Monroe, MI

A unique contract opportunity is available for a certified occupational therapy professional to support K-12 students in the Eastern Region of Monroe County. This full-time role will span the  academic year, providing essential therapeutic services onsite within Monroe and Mason public school settings. Youll work 35 hours per week, collaborating with educators and allied staff to make a meaningful impact on students daily experiences and long-term development.

• Current licensure in occupational therapy or as a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) in Michigan (submit your screen school verification with application)
• Proven experience delivering occupational therapy services in school environments
• Adept at working with students with a range of disabilities, supporting both academic and functional goals
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for a diverse K-12 caseload
• Strong collaborative and communication skills

• Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions according to students individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess needs, document progress, and collaborate with educators and families to support students goals
• Consult and coordinate with teachers and other educational professionals for integrated support
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state requirements
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
