CNC Machinist - Night Shift

Position Summary

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate milling and turning CNC machine tools to produce low‑volume custom, to‑stock, and repaired parts. You will work independently, ensuring on‑time delivery of efficient, quality, and customized products while providing support to multiple departments.

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures for efficient set‑ups.
• Perform selection, editing, and troubleshooting of CNC programs at the machine control.
• Set controls and enter commands to regulate machining factors such as feeds, speeds, and coolant flow.
• Mentor teammates on general machining tasks using common principles.
• Use measuring tools (gauges, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers) for inspection.
• Inspect parts to identify conformance or non‑conformance with specifications and blueprints.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Maintain accurate, safe, and clean work areas, performing minor preventive maintenance and daily cleanup.

• Proficient basic computer skills.
• Interpret and troubleshoot CNC programming languages (G & M code, Mazatrol preferred).
• Read and apply safety rules and work procedures.
• Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Multitask and minimize downtime between machine runs.
• Communicative and reliable.
• Detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.
• Promotes teamwork and works collaboratively across departments.
• Adaptable to change, delays, or unexpected events.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience and training.
• Vocational training or related education is a plus.

• Regular standing and ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
