Machine Operator – 3rd Shift – Manufacturing Production – Temp to Hire – $17/hr – Monroe, MI
Location: Monroe, MI
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 11:00PM – 7:30 AM
Training Required on 1st or 2nd Shift
- 1st Shift Training: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift Training: 3:00PM – 11:30 PM
Overtime as needed

The Advance Group is hiring a 3rd Shift Machine Operator in Monroe, MI. This manufacturing and production position is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, or industrial experience who are comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Candidates must be willing to train on either 1st shift or 2nd shift before moving to the permanent 3rd shift schedule.
Machine Operator Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Machine Operator, you will:
- Follow all manufacturing process documentation and production procedures
- Load and unload raw materials according to production specifications
- Perform quality checks including Differential Scanning Calorimetry, weight checks, and QA inspections
- Monitor and maintain utility systems, including boiler room checks
- Complete silo inspections, transfers, and material handling tasks
- Maintain Horizontal Burn and waste water treatment (WWT) chemical levels
- Mix chemicals and transport materials to production hoppers
- Monitor manufacturing processes using computer systems
- Adjust water flow, temperature, and air levels as needed
- Interpret production data to identify quality or production issues
- Operate within safety and quality standards at all times
- Support team production goals in a manufacturing environment
Qualified candidates should have:
- Previous manufacturing, production, machine operator, or industrial experience
- Experience working with metric measurements
- Ability to interpret basic production and quality data
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Ability to follow work instructions and production procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred (training available)
Physical requirements include:
- Standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
