CNC Haas/Mazak Mill or Lathe Machinist
This role seeks a skilled CNC Haas/Mazak Mill or Lathe Machinist for either day or night shift who can set up, operate, and make program edits on CNC Haas milling machines. You will work with various machining metals, interpret technical documentation, and apply G and M codes to produce precise, high-quality parts in a clean, climate-controlled shop.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Haas mill machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements
- Apply a strong understanding of G and M codes to program, adjust, and optimize CNC machine operations
- Make program edits directly at the machine to improve part quality, efficiency, and accuracy as needed
- Perform tool changes and machine setups, including selecting, installing, and adjusting cutting tools and work holding fixtures
- Use gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers to inspect parts and verify that all dimensions meet required tolerances
- Monitor machine performance during production runs and make adjustments to feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain quality standards
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Haas mill machines.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications to determine precision dimensions and tolerances.
- Solid understanding of G and M codes and how to apply them in CNC programming and machine operation.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers for inspection and quality verification.
- Capability to perform tool changes, setups, and adjustments on CNC mills.
Job Type & Location
This is a permanent position based out of Monroe, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52,000.00 - $72,800.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
