Overview
Position Summary... What you'll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Leads change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams. Models exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and by driving customer service initiatives, community outreach programs, and issue resolution through action plans and process improvements.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Coordinates supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates and promoting a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth potential.
Supports compliance with company policies, ethics and integrity, and the Open Door Policy while continuously improving processes and promoting a culture of learning and accountability.

Responsibilities- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training and actively listening to associates; tour stores; provide feedback; and communicate business objectives to teams.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the OBW service model; manage customer service initiatives and community programs; resolve customer needs and feedback; and implement process improvements.
- Drive store area financial performance by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses; monitor merchandise presentation, inventory flow and seasonal transitions; develop action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve goals.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance and promoting a sense of belonging; recruit and develop staff to meet staffing needs and growth potential.
- Coordinate activities with key stakeholders; support plans to meet customer and business needs; build accountability and measure progress toward results; identify opportunities for improvement and promote continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics; support mission and values; implement action plans and apply Open Door Policy in day-to-day business processes.
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of CBC and Firearms Authorized Training; or for facilities selling only ammunition with state requirements, may require a state Certificate of Eligibility.
- Attain and complete required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring and firing.
The hourly wage range is $31.25 - $38.46 per hour. Actual rate meets or exceeds minimum wage, with potential annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation may include region/pay differential, and state pay differential where applicable.
