Technical Sales Representative

Our client is a well-established industrial manufacturing company with long-standing domestic and international customers. They are looking for an Inside Technical Sales Representative to join their team and provide technical sales and customer service support. The role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, understanding technical requirements, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate quotes, orders, and on-time delivery.

Compensation Range: $26.00 – $29.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM | Onsite

Location: Monroe, MI

Employment Type: Direct Hire

• Communicate with domestic and international customers regarding quotes, orders, changes, returns, and cancellations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Analyze pricing, costs, lead times, and product availability using the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure accurate product selection and timely delivery.
• Build strong customer relationships, follow up on orders, and resolve post-sale issues.

• Associate Degree + 4 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of related experience.
• 5+ years of technical or industrial sales experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bills of material.
• Previous ERP experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer service skills.

• Primarily onsite with potential for hybrid flexibility after training.
• Rotating on-call schedule; after-hours calls are rare and compensated.
• Minimal travel (less than 5%).
