PM Technician
Transdev in Monroe, Michigan is seeking a PM Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a PM Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.
CompensationCompetitive compensation package: $23.50 – $25.00 / hr.

- Company paid ASE testing and training materials
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual inspections.
- Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines to ensure optimal functionality.
- Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components.
- Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately, maintain records of maintenance work including parts and supplies used.
- Select appropriate course of action for repairs.
- Evaluate completed work before release.
- Ensure safe use of power and hand‑held tools.
- Perform road calls and emergency services as necessary.
- Move vehicles safely between job sites and work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisors.
- Actively participate in safety or educational training as required.
- Maintain continuous ASE re‑certification to remain in job classification.
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license. CDL license strongly preferred or required within 90 days; company paid training provided.
- ASE certifications required; certification program provided by company.
- Minimum of two years direct automotive repair experience.
- Appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
- Demonstrated experience operating automotive repair shop equipment.
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, walk, lift light and heavy objects, climb ladders/stairs/ramps or scaffolding, use tools requiring manual dexterity.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
- Visual acuity: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Ability to tolerate dust, fumes, and noise in heavy traffic areas.
- Transdev maintains a drug‑free workplace; applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
