PM Technician

Transdev in Monroe, Michigan is seeking a PM Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a PM Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Competitive compensation package: $23.50 – $25.00 / hr.

• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual inspections.
• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines to ensure optimal functionality.
• Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately, maintain records of maintenance work including parts and supplies used.
• Select appropriate course of action for repairs.
• Evaluate completed work before release.
• Ensure safe use of power and hand‑held tools.
• Perform road calls and emergency services as necessary.
• Move vehicles safely between job sites and work area.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisors.
• Actively participate in safety or educational training as required.
• Maintain continuous ASE re‑certification to remain in job classification.
• Other duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license. CDL license strongly preferred or required within 90 days; company paid training provided.
• ASE certifications required; certification program provided by company.
• Minimum of two years direct automotive repair experience.
• Appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
• Demonstrated experience operating automotive repair shop equipment.
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, walk, lift light and heavy objects, climb ladders/stairs/ramps or scaffolding, use tools requiring manual dexterity.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
• Visual acuity: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
• Ability to tolerate dust, fumes, and noise in heavy traffic areas.
