Job Summary
Transdev in Monroe, Michigan is seeking a PM Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a PM Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.
Benefits- Competitive compensation package of minimum $23.50 – Maximum $25.00 / hr
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

- Company paid ASE testing and training materials
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components.
- Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
- Select appropriate course of action for repairs.
- Evaluate completed work prior to release.
- Ensure safe use of power and hand‑held tools.
- Perform road calls and emergency services, as necessary.
- Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisors.
- Actively participate in safety or educational training as required.
- Continuous ASE re‑certification is required to remain in job classification.
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL license strongly preferred or required within 90 days (company‑paid training provided).
- ASE certifications required; certification program provided.
- Minimum of two (2) years direct automotive repair experience.
- Appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
- Experience operating automotive repair shop equipment.
- Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
- Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, lifting of light and heavy objects, climbing ladders/stairs/ramps or scaffolding, and using tools and equipment that require a high degree of manual dexterity.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
