Position: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - INTERMEDIATE

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines, facility systems (including HVAC), and supporting equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role performs scheduled preventive maintenance, installs and commissions new equipment, and responds to maintenance needs across the facility. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Inspects equipment, checks operating condition, and logs repairs that are needed.
  • Performs maintenance jobs as requested.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Installs new equipment and assists with the physical preparation of piping, electrical wiring required for changes and additions to the facility.
  • Complete welding assignments.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures, and operates equipment in accordance with established safety policies and department procedures.
  • Complete work orders, and record materials used
  • Updates equipment maintenance records as appropriate.
  • Ensures management is appropriately informed of area activities.
  • Ensures work area and grounds are clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Runs errands and picks up and delivers parts as needed.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Plumbing repairs to include toilet backups.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail with minimal supervision.
  • Strong safety awareness, technical comprehension, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and deliver solutions where past precedent may not exist.
Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
  • Experienced with all related equipment and maintenance tools including hoists, jacks, mills, lathes, drill press, welder, band saw, forklift, aerial platform, grinder, crane, hand tools, etc.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands:
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching in all directions.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods; pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Works both inside and outside:
    Subject to changing weather conditions when working outdoors.
  • Must work under hazardous conditions including high places, chemical exposure, electrical current, moving machinery, confined spaces, etc.
