We are offering both 1st shift and 2nd shift (3:30pm-12:00pm)

Position Summary

As an Experienced Diesel Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks while delivering high-quality workmanship that meets manufacturer and dealership standards. You will play a vital role in ensuring customer vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and correctly the first time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, electrical systems, and emissions/aftertreatment systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs in compliance with Freightliner standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and recommend additional repairs when necessary.
  • Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and completed work orders.
  • Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to maximize shop efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and dealership safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing technical and manufacturer training to stay current with evolving technologies.
  • Deliver exceptional workmanship and contribute to outstanding customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience (Freightliner experience preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
  • ASE and/or OEM certifications preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, or Mercedes-Benz engine experience
  • Electrical and multiplex system diagnostics
  • HVAC and aftertreatment repair experience

    Brake, suspension, and drivetrain repair expertise
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning
