In Monroe County, Initial Assessment completes comprehensive assessments with the family to determine their strengths and needs, to develop a family plan to mitigate and resolve concerns regarding child’s safety within the home. Workers are flexible, supportive and committed to working with the family to determine best solutions. Social workers within the Children and Family Services Unit work as a team to meet the long-term needs of the family, including family network teams, service coordination and at times court intervention.

Successful candidates will have bachelor’s degree with a major in social work or related field. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required. Credentialing by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a certified Social Worker, or candidates eligible for credentialing through another human services related field with a clearly identified path to social work certification may be considered.

Starting salary for this position $25.12/hr. for non-credentialed candidates and $26.63/hr. for certified social workers.
