Practice Setting: Outpatient Office‑Based Practice
Position SummaryThe Orthopedic Surgeon will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries and disorders in an outpatient clinical setting. This role emphasizes evidence‑based, patient‑centered care with a strong focus on non‑operative management, in‑office procedures, and collaborative care. The physician will utilize advanced imaging modalities and office‑based procedural tools, including fluoroscopy, diagnostic ultrasound, and shockwave therapy, to optimize patient outcomes.
ClinicalEvaluation & Diagnosis
- Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries and disorders
- Perform comprehensive orthopedic and neuromuscular examinations
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies to assess muscle, joint, and nerve pathology
- Utilize diagnostic ultrasound as clinically appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized, non‑surgical treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and pain management regimens in accordance with clinical standards and practice protocols
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response
- Perform in‑office procedures under fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance
- Conduct image‑guided injections and related interventional treatments consistent with training and credentialing
- Perform extracorporeal shockwave therapy for appropriate musculoskeletal conditions
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient procedural workflows
- Coordinate physical therapy, chiropractic care, and rehabilitation services
- Refer patients to subspecialists or surgical services when indicated
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, recovery expectations, and functional optimization
- Counsel patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long‑term musculoskeletal health
- Document all clinical encounters and procedures accurately and timely
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the practicing state
- DEA registration eligible for controlled substance prescribing
- Demonstrated competence in evaluation and non‑operative management of musculoskeletal conditions
- Experience with office‑based fluoroscopic and ultrasound‑guided procedures
- Training or experience with extracorporeal shockwave therapy
- Strong interest in non‑surgical orthopedic care and functional restoration
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Advanced musculoskeletal diagnostic expertise
- Proficiency with image‑guided procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Outpatient orthopedic practice
- Office‑based procedures performed under fluoroscopy and diagnostic ultrasound
