Material Handler Seasonal- 1st Shift

Job Summary: Barnes & Noble Monroe Distribution Center is hiring. Location is just off Exit 8A on the NJ Turnpike. Classification:
Temporary.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and foster a safe work environment.
• Palletize, put away and ship product in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work on the warehouse floor with repeated lifting, bending, and reaching up to 50 lbs, and stand for long periods as needed.
• Rotate within all material handler functions including loading/unloading, providing trays and case pack materials within the Packing Department, and other duties as assigned.
• Work with a sense of urgency to meet or exceed daily production goals.
• Assist new hires and department transfers in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Communicate positively with booksellers and management regarding questions or concerns.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Flexible with schedule during peak season as business needs arise.

• Can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safe manner at all times.
• Possess basic written and verbal communication skills as well as mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

• Starting rate of pay $16.50 per hour for 1st shift
