Accounts Payable Specialist

Our Client, a growing electrical contracting company seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Data Entry Clerk to support their accounting team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and contributing to the success of large construction projects.

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable and/or bookkeeping experience.
• Construction industry experience.
• Experience using Quick Books Enterprise.
• Knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Process and enter high-volume vendor invoices into Quick Books Enterprise.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and verify receipt of materials/services.
• Code expenses to jobs, cost codes, and project classifications.
• Track and maintain retainage records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Maintain organized accounting records and A/P files.
• Communicate with vendors, project managers, and internal teams.
• Support month-end close activities and A/P aging reviews.
• Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting functions.
