Overview

Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Guitar. We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio location in the Monroe, NC area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Our motto is "Learn to Play From the Heart" and we strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable because music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.

• Provide private music instruction (primarily guitar) to students in various settings, including the students’ homes, your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam.
• Host in-person lessons locally in the Monroe, NC area or travel to students as needed.
• Set your own schedule and develop your own curriculum/lesson plans.
• Support the company by benefiting from its advertising, marketing, and SEO efforts and handle billing to focus on teaching.
• Maintain regular communication with the office and be organized and punctual for all lessons.

• Formal music training is not mandatory, but one of the following is required: a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.
• Great with kids, good communication, and reliable organization.

Pay range is $20–$30 per hour on an independent contractor basis, dependent on travel time, experience/education, and student retention rate. You have the freedom to set your own schedule and determine your own curriculum; the company handles advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to support your teaching.

Monroe, NC area; lessons may be conducted at the student’s home, your home or studio, or via webcam. In-person lessons are preferred by most students.

You may need to observe safety measures as appropriate, including wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, and practicing social distancing when applicable.
