Well versed in AMSE Sec VIII, IX Code requirement, Welding and interpretations.
WPS Development & Review- Draft, revise, and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with ASME Section IX.
- Ensure WPS documents reflect current materials, welding processes, and joint configurations used in production.
- Prepare and maintain Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) based on test results and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with quality and engineering teams to ensure WPQRs are traceable and meet regulatory standards.
- Facilitate welder performance qualification (WPQ) testing and documentation.
- Ensure all welders are certified per applicable codes and maintain up-to-date records of qualifications.
- Develop and deliver training programs for welders and inspectors on ASME standards and internal procedures.
- Conduct refresher sessions and onboarding for new personnel to ensure consistent understanding of welding compliance.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits related to ASME certification.
- Proficiency in design and calculation software (PV Elite, Compress, etc.)
- Expertise in stress analysis, load calculations, and material compliance
- Experience preparing PED technical dossiers and CE marking files
Identify gaps in current practices and recommend corrective actions to align with certification requirements
Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 a year
