Job Description
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills in cost accounting and financial management within an exciting and fast-paced engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost accounting, including monthly reporting, financials, annual budgeting, inventory analysis, and the Bill of Materials.
This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Experience: Senior Level
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
Responsibilities- Overseeing all aspects of cost accounting and financial management within the organization.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Developing and maintaining the annual budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Conducting detailed inventory analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
- Managing the Bill of Materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in costing.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve financial performance.
- Participating in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on all matters related to cost accounting.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments in cost accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CMA or CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in monthly reporting, financials, annual budgeting, inventory analysis, and managing the Bill of Materials.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel."
- A strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
- The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to implement changes.
