Job Description
Position:
Engineering – machining role for rotor and pump component manufacturing.
- Finish grind threads on all rotors to size, index, form, and finish as required.
- Drill axial holes, cut off, and counter bore as needed.
- Grind end faces on idlers.
- Grind threads on all rotors—inspect sizes, index, form, lead, and finish.
- Deburr all sharp edges as needed.
- Check pump parts for burrs and fit.
- Assemble parts per assembly drawings.
- Test parts per specifications.
- Operate one, two, or more machines including NCTG, CFG, cutoff, test stands, DHD, and similar equipment.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, profilometers, lead checkers, gauges, and masters to inspect rotors.
- Operate electric or air‑powered crane/forklift as required.
- Lift, pull, and push parts, continuously walking or moving between up to five machines.
- Load and unload parts weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Deburr using hand tools such as die grinders.
- Clean parts, remove chips, and wipe dry.
- Verify dimensions to conform with finish drawings.
- Adjust machines to achieve quality parts within specifications.
- Use multi‑function electric or air cranes to lift, move, load, and unload parts.
- Step up to and down from elevated work platforms and machine areas for wheel changes, tool changes, and cleaning.
Machinery: NCTG, CFG, cutoff machines, test stands, DHD, and similar devices.
Measuring instruments: micrometer, dial caliper, profilometer, lead checker, gauge, master.
Mobile equipment: electric or air‑powered crane/forklift.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Machining trade school experience preferred; one to three years of machining experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Advanced trade mathematics skills; ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and charts.
