We are growing our Operations team and actively looking for a Wastewater Operations Specialist who will operate customer treatment plants in the South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia areas. The role involves ensuring compliance, improving processes, and maintaining plant operations.
Responsibilities- Respond to customers and opportunities with thankfulness.
- Work with the Director of Wastewater Operations and other team members to keep customers compliant.
- Focus on improvements and growth in all aspects of the position and the business.
- Understand SDS and use appropriate PPE and safety equipment as required.
- Understand the pH scale, calibrate pH meters, and adjust pH as needed with limited assistance.
- Maintain proper records, including flow reports, logbooks, rounds sheets, timesheets, and mileage.
- Understand basic p/c and/or biological treatment functions, including pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, and clarification.
- Operate various treatment processes (DAF, hydroxide precipitation, extended air, etc.) with assistance.
- Have a basic understanding of discharge permits.
- Operate or understand chemical feed systems and troubleshoot with assistance.
- Use Service Fusion, Acumatica, and other systems as required with limited errors.
- Act with agility in responding to customer needs, including off‑shift and weekend hours as required.

- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with applicable federal, state, and local wastewater policies and procedures.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to analyze and review equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend ladders and steps to service a plant.
- Must be able to walk through large facilities.
- Must be able to work in environmental settings.
- Run wastewater treatment plants within permit limits.
- Communicate with the Director of Wastewater to ensure compliance and improvements.
- Work with the team to help grow the company.
- Be action oriented, customer focused, and process oriented.
- Be a problem solver who uses rigorous logic.
- Maintain composure and calm under pressure.
- Pay close attention to detail and verify correctness of procedures.
