Position Description
The duties provide the final step in material selection for the completion of the total door package before shipment to the customer, ensuring the highest quality and care to exceed customer expectations and satisfaction. This position must use CNC equipment to machine aluminum extrusion materials for assembly, including drilling holes, cutting lengths, widths, and notches so that materials fit together seamlessly during the assembly process.
The employee must use care in selecting the appropriate color, length, and materials for the individual order.

Major Areas of Responsibility- Maintain a safety-first mindset in all work activities; recommend and support safety initiatives.
- Read and interpret job order instructions for individual customer orders.
- Select correct materials and quantities for each order.
- Follow work instructions precisely to complete door packages.
- Understand daily production goals and work at a pace that meets or exceeds requirements.
- Inspect raw materials for defects or damage prior to machining.
- Fabricate parts to precise dimensions using machine tools.
- Select and run pre-set CNC programs per customer specifications.
- Perform de-burring of products.
- Determine offsets and adjust on-screen values to maintain tolerance.
- Change and measure tooling as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
- Ability to use basic math, including fractions, for measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail with fine visual and manual skills.
- Proficient in using hand tools, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate punch presses.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
- Ability to read and understand layouts, shop orders, and process control documents.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of CNC and tooling experience required.
- Ability to read and understand machining & assembly drawings.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. This is a standing position for up to 10 hours per day on a concrete factory floor, with frequent use of hand and hand tools to assemble parts. Ability to lift 30 or more pounds both overhead and at waist level. The employee must walk, reach with arms and hands, and has close vision requirements.
WorkEnvironment
Walking across the manufacturing environment exposes the employee to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Intermediate to loud noise is expected. The work environment is climate controlled.
