Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
Second

Shift: 4p-1a Monday - Friday
Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
MIG welding/stick welding using 7018
Change liners, grates, hammers, etc.
Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Flexible working overtime in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-year previous maintenance/welding experience preferred.
