Job Title: CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator
Location: Monroe, NC
Job Type: Permanent Full Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring high-quality production of metal and other materials according to design specifications. The CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator will play a critical role in ensuring efficiency, precision, and adherence to safety protocols while meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate HK CNC laser cutting machines for a variety of materials, including carbon and stainless steel, Aluminum, Copper and composites.
- Review technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications to determine material requirements and cutting processes.
- Load and unload materials into the HK CNC laser cutting machine and make necessary adjustments to machine settings.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure that cutting processes are accurate and within tolerance.
- Perform routine maintenance on HK CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring all parts meet required specifications.
- Document machine settings, production data, and any issues that arise during operation.
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for machine operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training is a plus.
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (5-7 years preferred).
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high precision.
- Knowledge of CNC machine programming and operation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material dimensions and machine settings.
- Understanding of safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for operating machinery.
