Job SummaryOur client is seeking a Production Planner responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products throughout the complete pump delivery cycle. The position focuses on production planning, ERP/MRP scheduling, material availability, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Job Description- Create and maintain detailed production schedules, including machine-level priorities and targets
- Update ERP/MRP systems with production schedules and lead times
- Create and release shop order pick lists based on production plans
- Identify and resolve work order issues and conflicts
- Process shop scrap order transactions
- Coordinate with BOM Specialists to verify machine timings, routings, and BOM accuracy
- Assess material availability and its impact on production schedules
- Work with Purchasing to expedite, reschedule, or revise material shipments
- Gather information from various departments to support production scheduling
- Analyze safety stock levels and recommend adjustments
- Review and update ERP/MRP planning parameters
- Maintain standard work documentation for planning processes
- Create and maintain weekly shop floor KPIs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience using MRP/ERP systems
- Advanced Excel and numerical analysis skills
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use data to support decisions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous improvement and customer-focused mindset
- Machine shop experience is a plus
- APICS certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- On-site position
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production and delivery objectives
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Production, and other departments
- $36-$39/hr compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
