Wake Forest Emergency Providers, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest School of Medicine, delivers high-quality emergency care across Hospital Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments throughout the Greater Charlotte Market and Central and Northwest North Carolina. Our APPs practice in settings that offer a strong sense of community and teamwork, while benefiting from the clinical resources, academic collaboration, and innovation of a leading nonprofit health system.

Atrium Health has 24-hour emergency services throughout the Charlotte region and parts of South Carolina. In addition to emergency departments that treat all ages, we have three pediatric emergency locations and the only free-standing psychiatric unit in the Charlotte region.

Children’s emergency care

While emergency departments treat all ages, we also have Atrium Health Levine Children’s pediatric emergency rooms in Charlotte, NC, Huntersville, NC, and Monroe, NC.

Atrium Union ED in Union County NC- our APP team covers shifts at Atrium Union, Union West, Waxhaw and Providence EDs.

Our APP’s rotate through all shift times and all locations listed above. Collaborative work with our ED physicians seeing patients of all acuity levels.

• Experienced, well-educated, and invested nursing staff dedicated to high-quality, team-centered care
• 10- and 12-hour shifts w/ APP-led scheduling
• Monthly hours:130 – 151.67 hours
• Weekends:
  
  Approximately two full weekends per month
• 24-bed Emergency Department with modern resources and treatment spaces.
• 182 bed inpatient hospital
• Annual ED Volume: 60,000+
