JOB SUMMARY:
Under the leadership of the General Manager, The Quality Manager/Chief Inspector ensures Part 145 Repair Station regulatory compliance in accordance with agency requirements to include FAA, EASA, UK 145, ISO and CAAC. This role manages and participates in quality activities involving the business unit to improve the processes, procedures, methods, and materials used in the repair and overhaul processes while ensuring product quality and safety are maintained.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5+ years as chief inspector/accountable manager at a Part 145 repair facility
* Strong understanding of FAA regulatory compliance and QA principles
* Experience working with regulatory bodies such as FAA, to include audits and inspections
* Strong data analysis
* Strong Excel, and PowerPoint skills
* Strong attention to detail, strong problem solving and strong continuous improvement focus
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational, leadership and follow up skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
* Lift up to 10 lbs

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
* Primary point of contact for the FAA and other aviation authority personnel to include EASA, UK 145 and CAAC
* Maintains thorough knowledge of airworthiness certification requirements and regulatory bodies (FAA,EASA,CAAC, TC, UK145 ) applicable to business unit needs
* Monitor the internal audit and surveillance of required programs mandated by all regulatory agencies. Ensure provisions are implemented to correct any discrepancies reported
* Manages all onsite regulatory inspections and audits
* Manages ISO certification and all aspects of quality insurance to include supplier audits
* Update and maintains all Repair Station required manuals and capabilities lists
* Prepare applications for revisions or amendments to the Operations Specifications, prepare applications for Repair Station Authorizations and manages timely renewal applications for existing authorizations. At all times ensures authorizations remain current
* Maintains FAA Safety Sensitive position and is subject to random Drug and Alcohol testing. Manages all return to service inspections in the absence of the Quality Supervisor
* Makes final airworthiness determinations and approves articles for return to service
* Accountable for all technician training to include new hire training, cross training, and training due to the identification of deficiencies. Works with Operations and Programs Manager and Lead Training Technician to accomplish training
* Monitors warranty and final inspection rejection data and procedures including investigation, root-cause, corrective action, and follow-up to ensure that continuous improvement is occurring
* Identifies and resolves safety and regulatory compliance issues with customers, regulatory inspectors, and auditors
* Strive for continuous process improvements and increasing efficiency in execution and delivery with safety and quality as a priority
* Maintain close and frequent communication with the General Manager, notifying him/her of any Departmental roadblocks or threats that could impact the company or customers
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position typically falls between $95,000 to $115,000 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance.
Note:
the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
