Electrical/Mechanical Repair Technician II – Monroe, NC (Onsite)
Job OverviewUnder moderate supervision, you will use your experience to perform complex repair, overhaul, and modification operations on aircraft components. The role requires safe work habits, quality and timely completion, and coordination with supervisors and support personnel.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate safe work habits, maintain a clean work area, and participate in daily cleaning.
- Utilize computer systems to enter and retrieve information for daily activities.
- Work closely with supervisors, Shop Engineer, Customer Service, Buyer, and Final Inspectors to resolve issues according to FAA and company regulations.
- Interface with internal and external customers, including government personnel or auditors, as necessary.
- Complete assigned work in a timely, quality manner under moderate supervision.
- Use advanced troubleshooting skills and measuring gauges & test equipment to perform tasks per specifications.
- Assist with major and minor assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and disposition of components and accessories.
- Validate LRU fit, form, and function parameters using approved technical data.
- Test, troubleshoot, and validate LRU performance; perform minor rework/repair and identify scrap components.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant electrical or mechanical repair or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with blueprint reading and repair manuals.
- Experience troubleshooting and testing electrical/mechanical devices.
- Proficiency with computer systems (SAP, MS Office, etc.).
- A&P License or FAA Repairman Certificate.
- Customer-focused approach to deliver safe and quality products.
- Analytical skills to independently identify and solve problems.
- Experience using measuring gauges and test equipment.
