- Perform manufacturing inspections and ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Inspect GBO NA products and conduct dimensional part inspections using a CMM and various metrology instrumentation.
- Carry out inspections and IPQ releases for semi‑finished and finished goods according to valid procedures in injection molding and final assembly departments.
- Meet departmental Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost KPIs.
- Provide timely measurement and reporting for Quality Assurance and Engineering validation activities, including IQ, OQ, PQ, Product Verifications, Engineering Studies, and Measurement Requests.
- Mentor and train IPQ team members and administer metrology proficiency evaluations.
- Maintain testing equipment, including procurement, troubleshooting, scheduling, and performing internal/external calibrations.
- Assist in the design and development of new measuring techniques, equipment, and fixtures.
- Program CMM and conduct measurement validations in collaboration with Quality Engineering.
- Review and close inspection records for compliance, accurately documenting and submitting IPQ inspection records in accordance with GMP.
- Perform periodic cycle counting and order IPQ laboratory supplies as needed.
- Complete administrative duties to ensure IPQ operational readiness, approve metrology proficiency evaluations, and handle ERP transactions such as stock transfers and quality hold (SAP).
- Report and troubleshoot inspection devices, equipment, and Laboratory Information Management System (Babtec).
Job Requirements
- Minimum associate’s degree in technology, science, or math fields; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an ISO, GMP, NIST, or similar regulated manufacturing environment; relevant technical experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in GD&T, CMM programming, and operation of tactile and optical CMM systems (Zeiss Calypso and Mitutoyo MCOSMOS).
- Intermediate-level experience with laboratory testing equipment, instrumentation, and analysis, as well as laboratory data processing and review.
- Intermediate-level MS office skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8–12 hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have appropriate vision to perform detailed quality inspections as outlined in SOPs or TP’s.
