Pipe Layer​/Skilled Laborer; Line Division Monroe, NC

Responsible for the installation of various types of underground piping including ductile iron, PVC, galvanized steel, black steel, and concrete. Must carry and maintain grade using pipe laser equipment, read blueprints and complex diagrams, and use trench shoring equipment. Trench safety certification is a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in underground pipe utilities.
• Properly pothole and assist an excavator operator with uncovering existing underground utilities.
• Measure and safely cut various types of pipe; lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
• Strong supervisory and communicative skills (verbal and written).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Safety‑first attitude with strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
• Professional and courteous attitude toward co‑workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Entry‑level position with training provided. All candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Pass pre‑employment drug screen.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
• Be willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime when required.
• Be willing to work outdoors in extreme conditions (hot/cold).
• Routinely lift and move 10–25 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

Skilled Laborer: $42,000–$55,000 per year (based on experience and abilities, plus overtime and bonus structure).

Pipe Layer: $48,000–$65,000 per year (based on experience and abilities, plus overtime and bonus structure).
