Job Description & How to Apply Below
Make $85,000 to over $100,000 as a Plumbing Install Outdoor Crew member at Morris-Jenkins!
Your Role
As a Plumbing Install Outdoor Crew member, you’ll:
- Be a regular part of an excavation crew! This means you’ll be digging in the dirt to help our install team put in sewers, water services, underground gas lines, and more.
- Reconnect sewer lines. When customers have trouble with their sewer lines, you’ll be the one to make sure they get the help they need. You’ll connect the lines, level them, cover them up, and make sure the customer’s yard looks as pretty as possible when you’re done!
- Partner with the plumbing service department to take care of customer concerns. After a service plumber diagnoses the issue and works with the customer on a solution, you come in and make it happen!
- Coordinate with other plumbing installers and equipment operators (when necessary) to remove old plumbing and replace it with new systems. You don’t believe in taking shortcuts and neither do we. You know how to make sure the job is done right and is up to code!
- Provide feedback, encouragement, support, professional development, and coaching to other plumbers. You’re great at what you do! When there’s a chance for you to help other plumbers grow, you share your wisdom and tips.
Some Highlights About the Job:
- You’ll have year-round stability.
- You won’t have a boss yelling at you here. You’ll be shown respect!
- You’ll make more money, have a great schedule, and work with a team that lets you do what you do best every day.
- Morris-Jenkins has been voted Top Workplace USA and Top Workplace Charlotte time and time again! Check out our awards here:
All About YOU
- You have 3+ years of plumbing experience. You’re no stranger to plumbing and know how to install plumbing in a way that lasts.
- You love learning new things. Even though you’ve been a plumber for a while, you’re always open to new ways of doing things.
- You value quality over quantity. You believe it’s better to take the time needed to do a great job, rather than rush through something and sacrifice quality.
- You think outside the box. You’re a problem solver who knows how to fix things the right way and keep your work looking nice.
- You’re good at keeping a level head. Plumbing install jobs can be a bit scary to customers—after all, you’re making some pretty big changes to their home. You’re good at making them feel better about the process, and you can think on your feet when an installation proves to be a bit tricky.
You’re a plumber who loves outdoor jobs and making it easy for customers. You take pride in your work (as you should!) and you need a job that gives you the respect and pay you deserve.
